The
Grapeful Cellars was a second label for sombody - maybe
Von Strasser? The Leapfrogmilch is a tongue-in-cheek
name for the annual release of a white blend by Frog's Leap
winery. (Check out the language on the center tag.)
The Hellacious Acres buzzard almost makes you think that
the Zin would be an excellent accompaniment to roadkill.

Nice
motto on the Grateful Red. I believe Jerry Garcia's estate
approached this label with a cease and desist order. The Glimigrim
is one of Mat Garretson's wines. Great label and woodcut
illustration. Hey, doesn't Gulliver look a little like Ted Danson
in this picture? And, how about that Smoking Duck. I
wonder if they smoke White Owls.

Rosenblum's
been doing the Chateau La Paws for some time now. All
the canine references on the label are due to the fact the Kent
Rosenblum is a veterinarian. The label in the middle caught
my attention - it just seemed ironic to have a Robert Blanc
label on a red wine. I have to admit, Flying Goat is
a cool name - plus, I hear their goats really DO fly!

I can
Jest see the ads now, Jest for Fun, Jest Because, Jest for
Now, Jest What Are You Up To, ...etc. Another clever name - I wonder
if over-indulgence is the 8th Deadly Zin.
