Above : the small church at Angoville au Plain bacame a refuge for soldiers, as Medics and clergy cared for combatants on both sides. -- Left : stained glass window memorial to Airborne. Below : symbol of immortality - a yew tree stands as a sentinel by the church cemetery.
Below Left : church pews still retain the bloodstains from the wounded. -- Above Right : memorial to 101st Airborne Medics for the 80 lives saved.
Below : the monument and dark color of the headstones at the German cemetery at Le Cambe, is a stark contrast to the American cemetery.
